Job Description:
Assist with employment-based immigration, family-based
immigration, consular processing (visas, etc.), basic powers of attorney,
and immigration reform. Be a part of a respected, energetic firm, where your
influence really counts. Duties include research, initial drafting duties,
case preparation, direct coordination with clients, correspondence, etc.
Candidate will have significant amount of independent responsibility and
extensive client contact.
Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm; competitive salary and
benefits including health/dental/401K
Job Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task in a
fast-paced environment; strong work ethic; strong Spanish skills; strong
international or immigration background and IT skills; strong
organizational, writing, communication skills; detail oriented; computer
proficiency. Paralegal certification or Bachelor's (any field) strongly
preferred but not required.

Lowe’s – Paralegal F/T (Mooresville, NC)
This position reports to a Vice President - Assistant General Counsel and will provide paralegal support in the development, research, management and resolution of legal issues involving various areas of Intellectual Property, including trademark, copyright, licensing, and patent issues.
The position requires the ability to work well in a team environment, assist internal clients, recognizing and quickly synthesizing legal issues proactively, developing and implementing strategies which address cross-functional concerns and multiple legal areas, communicating and coordinating with multiple client areas, preparing reports, drafting legal documents and preparing comprehensive research.
Candidates should have excellent organizational, legal research, and writing skills. Candidates should also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Position Requirements
- Paralegal certificate or degree program preferred with a minimum of 2-4 consecutive years in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- In-depth understanding of IP issues, including trademark and patent prosecution.
- Superior communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Certified by the North Carolina Bar
- Preferred Qualifications In-house Retail Experience.
